This listing is for a great copy of an early french repress of The Stooges second album Fun House. I am not sure why but there are a lot of french pressings of this album almost as many as there are US. These reissues are sought after due to the beautiful butterfly logo on the label.
This is a nice collectors piece the record is in stunning condition and sounds amazing, you wont be disappointed. Early pressings of this album are very rare especially in the UK so I don't expect this to hang around. With original pressings being very collectable now, if you can find one, in similar condition are knocking on for £200 so this is a great investment and more affordable period item.
All of my records are play tested on a Project Debut Carbon with 2M Red stylus which is quite revealing so any sound defects may be more exaggerated than on other more mainstream players. Or conversely if you are a full on audiophile I will let you judge how your set up compares and how you envisage the sound will compare.
I don't currently have access to a cleaning machine so please forgive any dust or finger marks which are on any of my records - hopefully will be investing in one at some point.
Record Appearance - NM I don't like to use Near Mint to describe a 40 year old record but there is simply no marks scratches or anything, as new condition. Both sides have a stunning glossy finish and appear to have been machined cleaned. Those gorgeous butterfly labels are in great condition with just faint spindle marks when under a bright light.
Record Audio - NM Not surprisingly with the stunning physical condition this record sounds fantastic. There is no surface noise that I could detect, barely any noise on run in or between tracks. Sound quality is fantastic, deep rich sound you just want to crank up and up. You won't be disappointed a great record, I would keep it but I prefer the first album.
Record Sleeve - VG+ Overall in great condition for 40 years of age, with just some expected shelf wear to the corners, It is exaggerated slightly by the darker cover. The spine and edges are in really good condition with strong structure and clear titles. Stunnning artwork on the front is undamaged and not blemished as is the rear. On the front under a bright light there is an indentation line but does not show up in normal viewing. There are no signs of ring wear due to the thick high quality gatefold sleeve. Inner artwork is in great condition with no damage or pen marks. Under a bright light there a few water marks but these might come off with a careful hand and are not visible in normal viewing. Record is stored in the original white Emtex style inner sleeve and is in great condition.
