Here is a RARE copy from my personal collection of the 1973 1st and only Australian vinyl edition of ‘RAW POWER’ by ‘The Stooges’…famously produced by the late David Bowie.
This album influenced a huge number of bands and is up there with the greats!
Kurt Cobain’s favourite album of all time…and Henry Rollin’s from ‘Black Flag’ has ‘Search and Destroy’ tattooed across his shoulder blades. This album has influenced a HUGE amount of bands and should be in any discerning music collector’s collection for reference. I have recently sourced a copy of the 1st American pressing so it's time to part with this one to make room for another new addition.
I have just played it through and apart from the infamous poor recording of the album by the band (google it if you are not aware of this to educate yourself before bidding!) it sounds fantastic!
I have been collecting records for years all over Australia and I have come across this album once, and this is it! It rarely, if ever, turns up!
The front of the album cover is in VG+ condition. I would elevate it straight away to EXCELLENT if it were not for the storage wear on the corners. Slight ring wear can be seen if you hold it to the light.
The rear of the album cover is VG as it has ring wear and storage wear.
The record itself has slight skuff marks on both sides. Once again, only noticeable when held to the light – nothing major whatsoever.
It’s a great copy….so….get bidding, or…alternatively…..wait a long time until the next one surfaces!
