Description

Scarce bootleg 1991 release of demos recorded for the Aural Sculpture and Dreamtime albums.

Another one of the gems from the treasured rare section of my collection. It was designated as a promo but thats a bit loose. It was constructed from the original studio master recording tapes.

These are the raw tracks The Stranglers brought jnto the recording studios to the engineers. All of these demos were re-recorded and some finalised with a horn section but here it's all Dave's melodic masterful keyboards. The track la Bete is sometimes mentioned in record circles as a misprint but it isn't. It was a JJ rift he had on Spanish guitar and he gave it a French title La Bete (The Beast).  An unused track JJ took it back and in 1998 he recorded it for his second solo album.

Anyway, enough trivia! The outer sleeve is in superb condition. The vinyl was once played with extreme care to get it onto another recording method and looks mint. A super item for any Stranglers collector.

Good luck if you bid on this wonderful item.
