The Stranglers Peaches Free 4 Radio Play Single Rare




The Stranglers Second Single Free 4 Radio Play Version Peaches b/w Go Buddy Go On United Artists Records In 1977. Due To Certain Lyrics Not Being Deemed Suitable For The Airwaves A radio Play Version Of The Single Was Issued To Radio DJ's With This In Mind. Hugh's Vocals Were Rather Crudely Re-Dubbed In Certain Places And Quite Obviously Different Sounding. Otherwise The Rest Of The Track Is As The Standard Issue.

"Oh Sh*t" Was Replaced With "Oh No", "Cl*tor*s" Became "Bikini" and "What A B*mmer" Became "What A Summer".

I'm Unsure As To How Many Are Actually In Existence, But It Can't Be Many. This Is A Mega rare Piece Of Punk Music History.

The Labels Are Crisp And Clear And White And Aside From One Slight Hairline Which Is Silent The Disc Is In Excellent Condition, Just Signs Of Having Been Removed From The Sleeve.

As With The Blackmail Sleeve This Is Definitely The Original Free 4 Pressing And I Also Acquired It In 1980 From The Liverpool Radio DJ.

The record Will Be Posted In A Stiffened Mailer With The Disc In A Plain Inner Laid On Top Of The Picture Sleeve To Prevent Any Seem Splits In Transit.
