Description
The Stranglers ?– The Raven
Top copy
Rare Limited Edition Japanese issue with the 3D Raven image, in immaculate condition.
Complete with Obi strip and an insert containing album lyrics and "Stranglers History" timeline, all in Japanese as well as printed inner sleeve.
The Stranglers are the Godfathers of Punk Rock, and were punching out Punk records before the term Punk had even been used as a musical genre.
In my opinion, The Stranglers, are one of the Three greatest Punk bands of all time, and sit with The Clash, and Stiff Little Fingers, as the most gifted of all Punk Bands.
The Sex Pistols stole the headlines, but they were essentially rubbish, and it was just as they said... a swindle.
Where the Sex Pistols were a swindle, The Stranglers were an absolute Bargain, every album was completely different from the other with complex concepts, lyrical and musical genius coming from Hugh Cornwell.
Country: Japan Released: 1979 Genre: Rock Style: New Wave, Punk
