The Stranglers - The Raven LP (UK issue, inner, hologram, holographic, VG)

This is an LP by The Stranglers called The Raven, released in the UK by United Artists in 1979.

Scoring some 23 UK top 40 singles and 17 UK top 40 albums to date in a career spanning four decades, the Stranglers are the longest-surviving and most "continuously successful" band to have originated in the UK punk scene of the mid to late 1970s. Beginning life as the Guildford Stranglers on 11 September 1974 in Guildford, Surrey,[1] they originally built a following within the mid-1970s pub rock scene. While their aggressive, no-compromise attitude identified them as one of the instigators of the UK punk rock scene that followed, their idiosyncratic approach rarely followed any single musical genre and the group went on to explore a variety of musical styles, from New Wave, art rock and gothic rock through to the sophisticated pop of some of their 1980s output.

VINYL:  VG           The vinyl has some faint paper marks, a couple light hairlines and one light surface mark on each side.  The mark on Side A is visible and can be felt with a fingertip.  This will cause some audible noise, clicks or pops.  Normally I wouldn't offer this item however, the sleeve is in fantastic condition and quite rare. 

LABELS:   EX        The labels have a few faint spindle marks on each side.  There are also no stains, sticker marks or wear on both labels.  

INNER:  EX          The inner sleeve is also very nice with some slight corner wear only. 

SLEEVE:   EX        The laminated sleeve has the glued-on holographic image of the raven.  Both the applied hologram piece and the sleeve itself are in stunning condition.  There is no wear or damage to the holograph piece, there is only very slight corner wear on the sleeve and a little bit of laminate lift along the spine on both sides.  On the back of the sleeve, there are four small drops of something brown which I wasn't able to clean off.

Email for combined postage rates.  I use heavy mailers with stiffeners and plastic sleeves which are included in the postage.  All items will have Proof of Postage.  If you want a tracking number with your order, please add £0.95 for the UK and £5.15 for everywhere else or email me and I will resend your invoice.  

Anything over £30 will be sent recorded delivery automatically.  Please wait for your invoice!  Recorded post is £0.95 extra within the UK and £5.15 in addition to normal postage charges for the rest of the world.  Special Delivery is available upon request.   This will cost more so please ask for estimated postage charges before you buy.

With apologies to our buyers, we have had to increase postage costs in response to a massive increase in postage by Royal Mail.  We still only charge what it costs us + a few pence for the cost of packing materials.

RETURNS:  Quite simple:  For any reason you aren't happy, send it back to me.  If I messed up - full refund including return postage.   If I didn't mess up - refund of purchase less postage.  Email me with anything,  I'm flexible so just give me a chance to work things out.   

ITEM CONDITION:  All items are used unless otherwise stated.  I do my best to describe everything as accurately as possible but I'm human and do get it wrong sometimes.  I will happily accept returns with full refund + postage when the item is received in the condition it was sent.  I am using the Record Collector grading guide and only visually grade.  Any records I'm not sure about, I will listen to and note in the description.
