Description

The Supremes – Meet The Supremes

11 tracks, 1st press stool cover with original track listing.

Cover badly damaged - top right has been torn/chewed; seam split at top right; slight water damage on back right corner; yellowing/aging of cover; "Music Time $3.98" sticker on back; vinyl has many scuffs and scratches but played OK w/some surface noise.

BONUS: Comes with bonus custom SUPREMES item - a fun hand/homemade cigar box decorated with a "Meet The Supremes" album cover (stools version); Measures 9.5" long/1.75" high/6" deep

"Let Me Go The Right Way" and "Time Changes Things," having been recently released as a single, were last minute additions to the LP and are not listed on the back cover as track 1 and track 3 respectively on side 2.

"The Boy That Got Away," listed as track 2 on side 2 on the back cover, was removed from the actual LP.

The track listing on the "stool cover" LP was corrected on later pressings. However when "Meet The Supremes" was reissued in 1965 with the new "faces cover," the initial incorrect track listing was used.

Disc has 1st Motown "map" label, which is dark blue on the bottom 2/3 of the label with silver printing. The top 1/3 of the label has a map of the U.S. extending from the Atlantic to the western edge of Kansas with a red star at Detroit, Michigan on the right side of the map. The "MOTOWN" logo lettering is in red and white with no yellow on the label.
