Things Are Changing, 7' Single EP (33rpm) Promo  EEO - Phil Spector

SL4M-3114

This is a nice copy of a hard to find single by The Supremes: "Things Are Changing." Released as part of an EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) campaign in 1965. This is the original single, not a reissue.

The Blossoms were one of three groups that released this single, the other two being Jay and the Americans and The Blossoms. The backing track, produced by Phil Spector, is based on a song written by Brian Wilson, "Don't Hurt My Little Sister" which was recorded by the Beach Boys for the "Beach Boys Today!" LP. Story goes that Brian wrote the song for The Ronettes, and brought it to Spector. Brian played piano on the session, though whether or not he ended up on the released track is unclear. Spector shelved the "Don't Hurt My Little Sister" backing track, but used it for this EEO campaign release with new lyrics.

Vinyl is visually graded and looks in very nice order with only a couple of minor surface scratches to one side, record comes in an orange/yellow slip sleeve.
