Description
The Surfside Four “Surf Fair" Cloister records - Scott Walker
Fantastic surf pop 7" released in USA on the highly collectable and sought after Cloister Records. This is the rarest release by Clositer and I believe you’ll probably not come across another one with the original picture sleeve, especially not in this pristine condition - a must for 1960’s psych collectors.RARE as hell. Disc NM, looks unplayed.
Original paper sleeve as issued for the Monica Beech concert shows, only damage is the slight nick on the front sleeve down by left corner.
Of interest to collectors of Scott Walker as Surf Fair was written by Scott Engel (aka Scott Walker of The Walker Brothers), John Stewart (not the folk singer!). They also produced and arranged the track as noted by their pseudo name Alec Noel Productions. The B-side is an instrumental version re-arranged by Jonathan Young, owner of Cloister Records and long time friend and collaborator with Scott.
I have a few other Clositer gems up for auction plus other material that was either written/arrnaged/produced by the young Scott Engel before heading of for fame in The Walker Brothers and his solo career.
Please view photos for any faults/marks on sleeve and labels. Questions, please ask before bidding.
Will combine shipping, please wait for invoice.
