The Troggs - Cellophane (1967) Page One Records (POL OO3) UK Mono 1st Press Vinyl LP.

 

I grade in accordance with the Rare Record Price Guide 2014 and conservatively grade this album throughout as Very Good. This is in order to avoid disappointment and gradings such as VG++ and Excellent+.

 

However, please note this example is closer to Excellent than Very Good.

 

The laminated flip-back Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in Very Good condition with some corner wear and creasing to the laminate, the reverse is in nice condition and free of any writing or severe stains. The spine is rigid and clean with fully legible text  The original British patent poly-lined inner sleeve is in Excellent condition, fully intact with no splits or damage.

 

The vinyl and labels once again are Very Good. There are a few light surface marks present and some spindle wear notciable under direct light on the labels. The matrix numbers are as follows:

 

Side 1: POL 003 1L 2 420, Side 2: POL 003 2L 2 420

 

This is a nice example of this classic album from ‘67 with some lovely pop-psych moments. The sound quality is generally excellent with all clarity and warmth only vinyl can provide. There is the occasional click but it does not detract from the overall listening experience.
