Description

  For sale is The Turtles Present The Battle Of The Bands, originally released in 1972 by White Whale Records in a gate-fold presentation. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The cover is graded as VG because of edge rubs, loose paper from a miss-cut back cover, stress cracks along the spine, ring wear and a punched hole through the top left hand corner. The spine has some color loss from these stress cracks and corner rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as Excellent with some faint sleeve marks. I'm play-grading it as VG+ because there is occasional surface noise, most noticeable during the quiet passages. This is the still one of the best copies of this rare album that I have seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find an pressing like this one, being that it has become so scarce. This has been played on state-of-the-art equipment since I bought it and has a lot of life left to it. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
