Description
This is an original record, made in 1978 by "The Ultimates", which is also the name of the album. The condition is as if it had not been played-as I understand it, according to "The Standard of American Records", "Record Album Price Guide from"Goldmine" and "Discogs" (a very respected online web site for record collectors, buyers and sellers), it seems to fall in the catagory of "near mint" or "near mint minus"wnich NM and NM-stand for.. I have had 3 other people look at this for their opinion of condition according to the guidelines and they all agree with me. It is NOT new, but looks as though it has never been played and the cover still has the plastic on it, it is open and has been taken out of the cover. The sides are in good enough shape to read the spine, and the open cardboard edge where the vinyl slips into the cover is still crisp and looks ALMOST unused. The only sign of wear I can see are the corners. They each are very slightly worn, none are too noticeable, and all are in different degrees of "smoosh"; not any very "smooshed". I would not even notice them, but I realize these vintage rare records ARE rare and their collectors can sometimes have very strict and VERY high standards. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, I will without question honor your opinion and refund your money, including shipping. This album, along with a few more I am going to put on auction now, are the rarest ones I have seen so far from my "Discogs" collections list, which now totals 3, 983. And I still have over 3,000 left to list. I recently inherited a storage unit full of vinyl records-most are in terrific shape. So if you or any one you know are serious collectors or plan on opening up a business, please contact me through eBay about purchasing them in lots.
