Description

The Velvet Satins 45 Up On The Rooftop / Nothing Can Compare To You GA-006 NICE. See photos for matrix information. The only thing not shown in those photos - there is an "X" inscribed at two different spots on the "Rooftop" side. 


Vinyl. A quick look at it and it may initially present as NM- with lots of original shine. But a more detailed look in good lighting reveals the true grade as slightly less (solid VG+). HOWEVER, an actual 'play' grade is a solid NM. It's just wonderful. Almost silent in the quieter moments, no scratches, and sleeve grazing or other marks are very light and have no affect on sound. No ticks, no hiss, no anything distracting. Just the kind of very light background noise you could hear when it was new. And It truly plays that nice - to be safe, and probably the most honest, I'll say it's just a step under how it sounded straight from the record store bin. If you disagree with my NM 'play' grade, send it back for a hassle free refund. I 100% guarantee you will be happy with how nice it plays. 


Labels. Note that the light discoloration at 3 o'clock on the "Nothing Compares" side is much lighter in reality - amplified by lighting.  It's so light that it could 'almost' be overlooked in normal lighting. Regardless, because of it, I'd have to grade that side VG+. NM- for flip due to a couple very minor wrinkles on the inner edge. 


Sleeve. The original generic General American sleeve presents decent enough, but has a 60% seam slit on one side, a major tear on one side upper right, and some light staining and other light wear. So a real grade would be in the G range, but it's rare to find in any condition. And it's nice to have just for the fact it automatically gives it some authenticity.
