Description

A seventies repressing of the 1974 Double LIVE release...from 1979. Matrix 1/1/1/1. Quality pressing with Philips credentials in the deadwax. Note how the labels are matt and not shiny... this is a '79 copy. The vinyl comes housed in an original double gatefold. Also included are both original inner sleeves. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) Looking pristine and have clearly seen just minimal use. Under close inspection I can't make anything more than a couple of very faint marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with three slight deviations. This reissue is pressed by Philips and, in my opinion, is of very decent quality. There's some very nice audio rolling off the vinyl here. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Barely any signs of background - you'll get the Velvets playing live with excellent clarity. The only track with a touch of light static in places is 'Over You'. The only deviations are in the closing couple of second of R&R, and in the middle of 'Pale Blue Eyes'.. just four light ticks.
Cover (Ex-) In lovely condition and has been looked after down the years. Front and back are clean with just one tiny sticker removal mark in the top left on the front. The interior is immaculate. Edge wear is very slight and the openings still sharpish. The spine looks great with minimal wear. All text pretty much all still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Vg+) Light ageing. But no splits.
