Description

Great copy, most likely a Promo copy that someone wanted to change (They couldn't change the fact that the label is white though) of this important album by a truly influential Late 60's early 70's band from New York: The Velvet Underground. Lead by the legendary Lou Reed, Guitar, Vocals and head songwriter, along with Sterling Morrison, Moe (Maureen) Tucker, and Doug Yule who had replaced John Cale. The album features, among 9 others, the classic song "Sweet Jane". The record is on the Cotillion label and the curious thing about this album is that the Cotillion label is White, not the usual Cotillion at the time. It can be seen above the word "Stereo" on both sides of the labels, some scuffing that would mean that the "Demonstration Only" sticker was removed. Cover: EX., Light Ring Wear, slight "Tweaks" to corners, no tape, no writing, no splits. (See Pics). Also, like with the labels, a scuffed area can be seen to the right of the "Street Light" where the round Orange Promo sticker was. Labels: Ex, faint areas above the word "Stereo" on both sides you can see a faint area where probably a "Demonstration Only" sticker was removed. (See Pics, as stated before, this is not a regular Cotillion Label it's White. Has the original Inner Sleeve (See Pics). Record: NM
