Description

Velvet Underground & Nico produced by Andy Warhol "banana" album on blue/gold Verve/MGM label in very good overall condition.
Disc:- Excellent condition with superb playback, virtually noise free apart from some short lived very minor background at start of track 1 side 2. Labels display 2315 056 A/B cat. no. for first UK MGM release (1971), but may be an early 80s edition(?) Runouts have first UK MGM stampers:- Side 1 matrix: 2315056 A // 1 ? 420 1 1 Side 2 matrix: 2315056 B // 1 ? 420 1 2 
Sleeve:- All sleeve info suggests 1971 UK release. Good condition overall. No writing or splits and fairly clean. All text readable. Main issue involves some strange 'cut out' sections affecting the lower front edge of the leading gatefold (see photos 8 and 9). I bought the lp in this condition so I can't explain these.
