Description
The Velvet Underground & Nice ORIGINAL LP! Not a reissue, this is the 1st issue from 1967, with the peel-able banana. Looks like someone started to peel and stopped! (see pic) Overall, Banana is in pretty good shape! Andy Warhol work of art!! (would look great framed)
On Verve Records V6-5008 Stereo with Blue and Silver cross labels (see pic). This has the airbrushed out Torso on back (see pic).
I use grading system: NM/EX/VG+/VG/G/P
Cover is in fantastic condition given its age, gatefold spine is beautiful, there is only two minor creases on back cover (see pic), and NO Tears, NO Writing, NO Splits, NO Repairs!! (see pics of all the cover areas) Cover is EX
Vinyl is also in great playing condition. It has some minor/superficial marks or scratches that do not affect play. Vinyl does have one mark that causes pop, on last song, on side one (see pic). For about 20 secs or say 10 rotations, has a minor pop, do to the small mark! Honestly, it isnt that bad considering this is the only issue. I PLAYED THIS ALL THE WAY THROUGH...little noise, the occasional crackle and that was it!!!! Id say without the Mark (listed above) it would play grade EX, but due to mark will rate this VG+
Overall, this is a great play copy, and I am sad to let it go! Or great Display copy too! Its rare to find this LP in this good of condition! This is a masterpiece and up there on the most collectable Vinyl list!!!
