About This Record. This is a Top keeper copy of The Velvet Underground & Nico LP released on Verve Records in 1967 in a gatefold cover with the Andy Warhol art banana sticker totally intact and NEVER removed from the cover, and original Verve Factory Records inner sleeve.  Very Clean Cover and Vinyl! This is the "East Coast" version with Side 1 and Side 2 (instead of Side A and Side B which appear on the West Coast version).  It is version 3 with Eric Emerson's Torso airbrushed out, and not Version 1 with the Eric Emerson's Torso on the back cover, or Version 2 with the giant sticker over the torso on the back cover.  The cover is very white . . . one of the best I have ever seen.

Cover Condition: Excellent (EX) with lightest of wear. The banana is totally intact with no tears or creases; the all important banana has never been removed, and has not been tampered with.  There is a 1 1/2 inch spot of wear on the bottom seam of the LP cover in the middle that is splitting, and one minor corner ding at lower right corner of front cover.  VERY minor traces of ring wear if you look very very hard near top of front and rear cover . . . VERY white cover, one of the best I have seen.  This has Eric Emerson's torso airbrushed out on the back cover.  Please SEE all my photos; I did not take them for fun and frolic and they could answer any question you have. 

Vinyl Condition: Excellent (EX)/better vinyl.  There are some factory cloudy marks on the vinyl, which came with those marks courtesy of the factory pressing plant.  The Vinyl has rarely been played, as one can tell from the Perfect labels.  No stylus scratches or visible paper marks, and no pops or clicks, just a little light factory background noise between some tracks, mainly between Track A1 and A2 (as on all copies I have owned or heard), and for a few seconds at the very beginning of track A1 before/as the music kicks in.  Downgraded to EX because of the minor factory blemish (the cloudy marks--see last photo where I tried to capture them) (see my feedback about what other people have thought of my rare EX graded vinyl records); comes cleaned on my KLA Ultrasonic Record Cleaning Machine (like I always do), and in a new rice-paper type inner sleeve to keep the dust off after cleaning.

Labels. Mint Minus (M-) Perfect labels. No spindle marks or other evidence of play!  Please look at my photos in case I missed something.

Inserts: Comes with original factory Verve Records inner sleeve listing other Verve artists, but no worries, this also comes cleaned in new rice paper-type inner sleeve.

Packaging.  I clean all vinyl on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original.  I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve from the cover after cleaning, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection.  I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack in an MLP-1 oversize box with corner protectors, or a regular NICE cardboard box with at least two insert stiffeners, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and/or “Fragile” or something like that to help facilitate a safe passage.
