Thanks for choosing River City Records. Here is potential holy grail item. This is a 1968 Verve V6-5008 West Coast Steroe Pressing of The Velvet Underground and Nico.
Matrix / Runout (A-side Runout, Etched): V6 5008 SiDE-1 MGS-558-REV.

The sleeve on this particular copy is in the G+ to VG- range. As you can see in the pics the banana has been peeled, there is some rubbing and corner edge wear. The spine is partially legible and an area of tape along the bottom edge. The colors are vivid and the sleeve is still intact and operable as intended. The vinyl plays much better than it appears. I'd grade the vinyl in G+++ to VG- (conservatively and on appearance only because it sounds better than it looks). Now here is the interesting part of this record. It appears to be signed by Nico on the front and Lou Reed on the back (above his picture). The signatures are in ball point pen. The Nico signature is more prominent against the white background and the Lou signature is a little more faint against the color photo. Please note I am not an autograph specialist and did not obtain these autographs. This record, along, with other records from the era, were autographed when I purchased them. I can tell you that most were Jazz musicians from in and around New York City, and from a similar time period as the release of this record. I know there are services available to authenticate them but I'm in the business of selling records, not autographs. To me, the value in this particular record is the rarity of the record itself and the possibility that Nico and Lou signed this in blue ink back in the late 60's is a very romantic though to have when playing it.....and it's entirely possible. Please note that I have 100% positive feedback selling only the best records here on Ebay. Records are shipped in a proper LP mailer.
