Description
Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.
This is an auction for: The Velvet Underground – White Light/ White Heat – RARE Original Vinyl LP album from 1968.
This is the Original 1968 UK issue with “Skull” sleeve.
Sleeve is front Laminated and flipback.
Verve records.
Black Verve label.
Matrix:
Side 1: V6 5046 A-2
Side 2: V6 5046 B-1
Vinyl Condition: VG (The record is very good for its age. It has been used but has been cared for. There are visible light marks, light hairlines and the odd light scuff/scratch mark etc but nothing major. There are some larger but light scuff marks in places but these are nothing to worry about. There is a larger scuff mark on the first track on side 2 but this does not affect the playback. The record plays great with very good sound quality. There is a light mark on the second track on side 2 which causes a few very light pops but nothing major. Spindle shows some wear but is in-keeping with the age really. Overall record really is in very good condition for its age. It has some marks but nothing major and plays great with nice quality. There is very little crackle and no sticks or jumps. The record really is a pleasure to listen to. It is NOT mint but is jolly good for its age).
Inner Sleeve Condition: VG (Inner sleeve is a plain white polylined replacement).
Outer Sleeve Condition: VG (Front laminated flipback skull sleeve has some heavy creases and some slight lifting of the laminate to the front and some wear at the opening. Bottom right corner has some wear. Some general light wear from age but overall very good condition for its age. No writing or pen marks).
I grade my vinyl’s as follows:
M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.
Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.
VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.
G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
