Description
Never intended for release, a two colour vinyl 12" from (The) Verve. Silver and Black 12" vinyl factory test colour sampler. I'm selling this on behalf of the original owner who used to be a press operator at Adrenalin Records in Slough, a pressing plant that closed in 1999. They pressed many Hut Records releases, amongst others, and this incredible pressing was created by a handful of press operators messing about with colour to see what could be done. Please see the pictures for the end result. I'm reliably told that only 8 copies were pressed in this format, two for each of the operators that created it. Two of the operators have since died, one moved to Scotland and hasn't been heard of since, which leaves this copy as the only likely copy to come up for sale. Insanely rare, I'd be amazed if this has ever been catalogued, let alone put up for sale.
The sleeve has also been signed by two members of the band but the ink has faded completely, the indentations of the original signing being all that remains.
