Description

The Vikings (Lakewood/Tacoma WA 1958-61) One Of A Kind 10" 33 Acetate EP 1959. Acetate has a lot of scratches and plays with noise on Jeff's player and would sound better with a better needle. Can be heard on youtube under jmosrite. Labels have wear.  Nice stories of The Vikings on pacific northwest bands. Unreleased until Dionysus put it out in 1998. "Come Dance With Me" was a cover of Eddie Quinteros. "Lucille" was done in a Rockin' Robin Roberts style. "Plastic Coat" is an original instrumental named after a members fake leather coat. Recorded at Metro Recording the only recording studio listed in the Tacoma phone book at the time. They paid $25. Guitarist Pierre "Pete" Ouellette was in several local bands including Don & The Goodtimes and Aesop & The Fables where he also wrote some of their 45 releases. Due to fragility of vinyl over metal it will be shipped Priority in the U.S.
