Description
All records have been vacuum cleaned on a Pro-ject VC-S. All records are tested on an Audio-Technica LP1240 with a Nagaoka MP-110 cartridge. I may not play the entire record, but at a minimum I will play over any suspect areas to check for skipping or overwhelming noise.

- Notes: Stereo recording. HSE 1465.
People who just like to give a record an occasional spin, listen to some tunes should be happy with any records I grade Good to Very Good+.
Fair records will play without skipping, but will demonstrate a substantial amount of "crackle" on quite passages. Still something you can listen to and mostly enjoy in a pinch.
I don't sell anything that I have heard skip, or when noise is so bad it overwhelms the music! Skippers are for boats and not record players!
My general grading guidelines:
- Near Mint - Looks like it was just opened. Zero scuffs or scratches to the playing surface. No label wear.
- Excellent - May have just a few minor marks to the playing surface, but they cannot be heard on playback. It still sounds near mint. One or two minor marks to the label.
- Very Good+ - More minor marks allowed on the playing surface and label. You may start to hear effects of some marks, such as an occasional "pop". Basic noise floor is still quiet.
- Very Good - Same as very good, but if you strain, you may start to hear a minor amount of "crackle" on passages.
- Good+ - Quite a few scuffs on the disc, but no skipping. Noticeable noise floor on quiet passages. Infrequent "pops". More label wear allowed, such as scuffs or minor stains.
- Good - Same as Good+, but "pops" due to scuffing are more frequent. Slightly more "crackle". Worn labels, but still readable.
- Fair - Playing surface will appear highly scuffed, but still plays with no skips. On quiet passages, noise floor "crackle" may approach overwhelming the music. "Pops" may be frequent. Distracting for some listeners. Label can be scratched or heavily stained, but still mostly readable.
- Poor - Poor records will have scratches you can feel with your fingers. They will skip at some point or have so much "crackle" that it overwhelms the music. Labels can nearly be destroyed or even missing. In general, I will not sell a poor record. Exceptions would be something that is rare, that only has a few destroyed tracks, but other tracks remain playable at the Very Good or better condition.
