Description

THE VOLUMES (Detroit Rhythm & Blues/Soul/Doo Wop Group)

This is an original acetate of the Volumes "Why"/"Monkey Hop" recorded at the Bell Sound Studios in New York City.  The acetate has typed labels and a date of September 26, 1963.  Both sides have "1st remix" written in blue ink on the labels.  The label of "Why" also has the letters P.H. and the signature of "Patricia Ann Harrison".  The condition is average as acetates go, with moderate scratches and wear on both sides.  There are NO skips on either side.  This record comes from the collection of a longtime Massachusetts collector who recently passed.  The A side has been uploaded to my YT page at: https://youtu.be/9JNChgst5A0
