Description
British Island Records First Issue 1973
This is the very first press with crossed out matrix next to correct ones and pink rim labels
It's hard to find fault with this one it really is a lovely clean copy Both labels are spotless and the original zippo sleeve is the best I've seen with no splits or tears and only minimal wear on the open corners. The card is shiny and very clean both inside and out and the rivet is in excellent shape with the sleeve opening and closing as it should.
The vinyl still has its original gloss and is very clean with just a couple of very faint marks only visible under strong light. I have not tried to clean this record (other than using carbon fibre brush before playing) as it sounds close to perfect, very quiet between tracks only a few very faint pops on each side not really noticeable unless you're really listening for them.
All in all a solid Excellent +
The original patented black inner sleeve with cut out corners is in very good condition although it does have a couple of small tears on the centre cutout and it is difficult to use without creasing it so I use a quality anti-stat sleeve instead. I'll send it in a new one.
