Description

UK 1973 first pressing of Wailers Catch a Fire vinyl album in iconic Zippo sleeve. Matrix is crossed-out BML 2001 A-3U then ILPS 9241 A-3U STERLING; ditto B-4U STERLING CD as appropriate for side 2 - a rock solid first press. The sleeve has the Island address as Basing St. which shows it is the matching first press sleeve as their address was about to change.
I have provided as many photos as possible to include defects, please study as they are part of the description. Vinyl is in my opinion EX, there are very fine surface marks visible in bright light. The sleeve is among the best I've seen, hinges immaculate, but it has been used and stored, there are some slight bends and the matt finish is inevitably slightly scuffed. The inner sleeve has suffered from it being a seriously impractical design an has been torn at the opening and near the centre hole - I have photoed the worst bits. At least it is still present, I have seen it missing or not described at all elsewhere. It will be separately protected in packing and the vinyl in an alternative sleeve.
This is a rare combination of excellent first pressing and remarkably desirable sleeve condition.
I will not risk overseas postage due to fragility and complications in resolving subsequent damage. International buyers PLEASE DO NOT BID.
