Description

An original and GENUINE 1st press of THE SEA for the UK market. Matrix A1/B1. Etching 'the Stars Are Alive'. Note that the labels DO NOT mention Chrysalis - they mention Island distribution. These are the very 1st copies to be available at 1st release. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover with watery motif glossy. Note that the same is true of the cover - no mention of Chrysalis on the rear. Also included is the original inner sleeve too. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) Wowzer - a total showstopper copy. If you want the definitive version of this classic title - take a close this one! It has only seen very sight use and retains a lot of that original lustre. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are beautifully quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. THE BEST copy of this title I've witnessed. It's got everything in spades. Full frequency. Bags of energy. Perfectly quiet background. PERFECT. You can HEAR you're close to the master - because it sounds that darn realistic. CANNOT fault it. It is just acing it from start to finish. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex-) The front and rear surfaces are looking very tidy and that aesthetic is largely untouched. No creasing or surface wear. A bit of minor edge wear in the odd spot [nothing worrisome]. Firm sharp openings. Spine 95% intact - just slightest wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A nice looking original example.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing apparent - but not in a disagreeable way. No splits.
