Description

An original and GENUINE 1st press of THE SEA for the UK market. Matrix A1/B1. Etching 'the Stars Are Alive'. Note that the labels DO NOT mention Chrysalis - they mention Island distribution. These are the very 1st copies to be available at 1st release. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover with watery motif glossy. Note that the same is true of the cover - no mention of Chrysalis on the rear. Also included is the original inner sleeve too. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) A beautiful copy and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of slight marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with one light deviation. Intros and inbetweens are beautifully quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Full frequency. Bags of energy. Really quiet background. At worst a few slight crackles in one isolated spot per side. A solitary tick late on side 1. Truly a marvel.
Cover (Ex-) The front and rear surfaces are looking very tidy and that aesthetic is mostly untouched. No creasing and hardly any surface wear. A bit of minor edge wear in the odd spot [nothing worrisome]. Firm sharp openings. Spine 90% intact - just slightest wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A nice looking original example.
Inner (Ex-) Only lightest ageing apparent. No splits.
