Description
Up for sale is a very scarce 33 RPM LP vinyl record featuring the talents of an amazing whistler. There is a great variety of styles here: exotica, jazzy, Hawaiian guitar, polka, more. The whistler makes it all sound great! This record is so much fun.

According to the notes on the back of the jacket, Jack Zimmermann - 37 at the time of this recording - had been performing since age 12, initially playing banjo, guitar, and bass. He was a World War II veteran. He first whistled (professionally) on the George Skinner's daytime variety show on the CBS network. Subsequently, he appeared with Archie Bleyer, and whistled on recordings featuring the Chordettes, Dina Washington, and The Three Suns.
On three of the tracks in this album (Sweet Leilani, Silver Moon, and Rio Rita), Zimmermann accompanies himself in duets, using multiple track recordings!
