Description
!968 release of 'The White Album' - double album by the Beatles. I bought this double album in 1968 when I was a student in Glasgow. I played it a lot and folded and unfolded the poster a lot. So the condition is much as you would expect it to be in a 50 year old album. Both records, however, are flat, and although they have some background static, they are free from jumps or cracks. The poster fared less well and I had to tape it up muchly. The original poster is discoloured at the folds where taped. I have included a new reprinted poster which is a copy of the original (see photos). The photos of the Beatles are OK but have a little indentation from the records over storage for 50 years. The sleeve is sadly no longer white (I re-named this one 'the Beatles rather grubby cream album'), but 50 years take their toll - it is still quite solid though - the original gatefold with top loading - with the original black inner sleeves. The release number on the sleeve is 0053381, which is one of the lowest I've seen. Record details - Side 1 - PMC 7067 - XEX 709. Side 2 - PMC 7067 - XEX 710. Side 3 - PMC 7068 XEX 711. Side 4 - PMC 7068 - XEX 712.
