Description

You are bidding on the picture disc edition of The White Stripes single "Hello Operator / Jolene" from 2000. In addition to being very rare this copy is one of the very few that has the tracks flipped, the A-side contains "Jolene" and the B-side "Hello Operator".


The record has been played a few times and except for a thin discoloring on each side near the spine, see detailed pictures, it has no signs of wear. The discoloring was there from the beginning and I believe it originates from the pressing plant. According to this I rate the record as "Near Mint". The cover is the original transparent plastic sleeve.

After examining other copies of this record, and finding the exact same discoloring near the spine, it is clear that this is how it was pressed. So this is no defect and my copy can without hesitation be rated as "Near Mint".

Please note that "Jolene" is listed as being on the peppermint swirl side, but actually appears on the other side, and vice versa. The engraving on the run-out on each side corresponds to the intended track listing, but on this press A is the peppermint swirl side with "Hello Operator" and B is the picture side with "Jolene". Sorry if the original description was a bit confusing.
