Description
This is a copy of the The Who’s 1966 album A Quick One on Reaction Records from 1966. The album is a first UK pressing in Mono with the record number 593 002 Reaction 1966 EX/EX A2-B2 Fully Tested. The run out grooves have an A 2 / B2 stamper codes. I’ve tried to show the condition of the record and sleeve in the photos and there are some small creases in the laminate on the front cover and a larger bubble in the laminate on the top left edge. The rear of the sleeve has some light laminate creases on the edge with the largest being on the top left edges. The spine of the record has a very small tear as I’ve tried to show on the photo just next to the album wording. The record itself has some marks on Side 1 with a visible scratch that shows on the last 3 songs. There’s a scratch on the last song on Side 2 - I’ve tried to show both of these in my photos. I’ve played the record through without any jumps, pops, skips or anything else major. Despite a couple of the surface marks, the record plays really well with a strong and powerful stereo sound! There’s some light cueing crackle at the start of Side 1 and lighter clicks between later tracks and quieter parts songs as the record progresses. The scratch at the end of Side 1 can be heard as Pops for the first 30 seconds or so of Maisie. Side 2 is the same. I’d say this record is better than Very Good condition using the Record Collector definition which says “the record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable”. I think it’s below the Excellent definition which says “the record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very lessening in sound quality”. Postage for the record will be £6.50 delivered in the UK. This record starts at only 99p with no reserve! I will mail the record in a strong cardboard record box cover with a waterproof plastic cover outside wrapped firmly with parcel tape. I always send the buyer a photo of the parcel plus a tracking or postage reference number so they know what to look out for or to help me investigate if there’s any problems. Thanks for looking at my auction! Please let me know if you have any questions or would like any other photos of the album. Please have a look at my other auctions as I regularly sell records, clothes, electronics and other vintage items.
