The Who - A Quick One LP UK Original Textured Silver on Blue Reaction LP from 1966
On offer here is a really nice copy of the Who's classic second LP 'A Quick One'. Recorded in 1966 on the Reaction label, this was their second album and is packed with some of their best early recordings. A must have album for serious 60's collectors, this is from my personal collection and has been rarely played and well looked after.
The vinyl is graded Excellent+ / Near Mint and is superb condition. There are no flaws to mention, super clean with only a few spindle marks to show for its 58 years.The spindle hole still has vinyl remainder from the drilling which shows how little it has been played. A really exceptional example. The playback is superb, loud and clear, you will be very happy with this copy.
The fully laminated cover is graded VG+ but its better than that, its just a difficult one to photograph as its so glossy and black. I have taken the photos without a flash so you can see the handling creases etc... they are not at all bad and definitely one of the better copies I have seen (That's why I bought it and kept it for so long). There is a very small area of laminate lift to bottom left of front cover and a few edge wrinkles, which you should expect on this cover design. The reverse is nice and clean, there is no writing, bad creasing or rips and the opening edge is clean. The spine is solid and clean with no damage. All told it is a very decent example of a great cover.
Original poly-lined inner sleeve is excellent and intact with just light ageing.
