Description
This is a new 2018 Record Store Day pressing of The Who's THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT album. Only 3,000 copies were pressed and immediately sold out. The two LPs are pressed on gorgeous colored 180-gram vinyl (red for sides 1 and 2, blue for sides 3 and 4).
This album is unsealed but has never been played. Everything about this is in pristine condition, except that the outer jacket has a slight crease mark above the word "Kids" in the album's title at the very top of the jacket (where its opening is).
This Record Store Day reissue is an exact replica of the original 1979 album other than the red and blue vinyl. The LPs are housed in 'film can' sleeves and come with the 20-page full-color 11.5 x 11.5 inch booklet with sleeve notes by Roy Carr, including the updates he made for the 2000 CD reissue!!
The outer jacket is a reproduction of the original TOP-LOADING jacket and features Art Kane's iconic cover shot of the band photographed on the morning of April 5, 1968 at the Carl Shurz Monument in New York City.
This album is housed in a high-quality Vinyl Styl 3-mil poly sleeve and will be in that sleeve when shipped to the buyer. While removing the shrink wrap after I bought this album, I carefully pealed the hype sticker and the Made In Germany sticker from the shrink wrap and affixed them onto the front of the poly sleeve, as shown in the photos. The hype sticker shows a little bit of wrinkling from being pealed from the shrink wrap.
