This is a rare original reel to reel release of The Who - Meaty Beaty Big And Bouncy, released on Decca in 1972(?)
This reel has been in my possession since I bought it new back in 1974. Since then, it's been played and moved between houses, but has consistently been taken very good care of.
THIS REEL HAS BEEN PLAY TESTED ON PROFESSIONAL EQUIPMENT and has been rated as VERY GOOD+++. This is a perfect sounding tape; I could hear no flaws at all with it. The only cosmetic flaw is a bit of black marker that scribbled out "3 1/2" on the reel and replaced it with "7 1/2." I did this as a teenager, because this reel was actually recorded off of a 7 1/2 IPS recording, so of course I felt compulsed to fix this error by writing on my reel. Still, this is small writing and can easily be ignored.
The box is in VERY GOOD+++ condition. This is so close to being like new, but there is a thin layer of general paper aging on both faces. The inside of the left face has green pen writing. Otherwise, the inside faces are perfect.
Aside from the writing, this is just about as good as you could ever hope for as a WHO collector.
