Description
A very 1st pressing of Meaty Beaty on the UK Track label from 1971. Matrix A1/B1. Etchings 'Porky/Pecko'. Label design is perfectly consistent with 1st press - matt and unridged. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover printed by Ernest J Day. These early covers are made out of more sturdy card than later copies, but in addition the very 1st copies do not credit the producers against the track listing in the interior over in the top-left. Also included is the original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In excellent condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveal an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minimal and infrequent. All we could detect was a touch of light static in a couple of tracks - nothing vaguely invasive. Chock full of all the classics...!
Cover (Ex) In very fine condition and has been cared for down the years. All surfaces are clean with a few very light creases on the front. The interior is in excellent condition. Edge wear is very light and all text on the spine is still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies totally flat.
Inner (Ex-) No splits. Light ageing.
