Description

A very 1st pressing of Meaty Beaty on the UK Track label from 1971. Matrix A1/B1. Etchings 'Porky/Pecko'. Label design is perfectly consistent with 1st press - matt and unridged. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover printed by Ernest J Day. Also included is the original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen a light to moderate level of use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side, and one just-feelable-mark  - but nothing that at all that appears to sound in the audio. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minimal and infrequent. All we could detect was a touch of light static in a couple of spots. The semi feelable mark, mentioned above, did initially give me cause for concern. It crosses 'Magic Bus' - but I've tested it thoroughly and I really can't hear any effect from it all. I guess that's testament to these quality heavy pressings. 
Cover (Ex) In very nice condition and has been cared for down the years. Front and back seem to be clean and free from creasing. The interior is in excellent condition, but a bit of marking up in the top left corner. Edge wear is light and the text on the spine seems to be all legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Aged with a couple of edge splits that have been taped up.
