THE WHO - 'MY GENERATION'
This earliest possible UK 1st mono pressing of their explosive debut album dates from initial December 1965 release and is on the deep-groove Decca pressed Brunswick label: LAT8616
Matrix numbers: MG-10256-1B & MG-102567-1B
Stamper codes: 1/B & 1/B
The above are the earliest stamper codes possible for this album, putting in the first batch ever pressed.
Disc weight: 152g
Housed in a front laminated, 'Robert Stace' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original polythene lined inner-sleeve.

A clean & undamaged pair with some faint spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: VERY GOOD
Both playing surfaces are clean and bright but no display several light surface marks and an occasional light hairlines scratch but nothing deep or feelable. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT
This copy has been played many times, but only carefully on good equipment as the sound quality throughout remains high. Every track retains its power and depth and is unworn and my single careful play-check at volume found no significant deterioration to the sound quality. The album is also free from any clicks, pops or other such audible distractions. Both run-ins and all bands play completely without interference adding up to an highly enjoyable listen.
Cover: VERY GOOD +
A respectable example of this easily damaged fragile cover which retains a clean front laminate with just some light indentations from storage, but no missing pieces. There is a 1cm tear to the front opening edge but no other such damage elsewhere. The rear panel is clean overall with just a few faint age-related blemishes, but no writing or missing paper. Both seams and the spine are all smooth, unstressed and unworn.
Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD
Fully intact with minimal storage wrinkling and age-toning but no writing, tears or seams splits.
