Format: super rare UK ATCO release for the 1982 solo album ‘All the Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes’. This is a "UK Promo" only where Pete Introduces tracks for selected songs from the upcoming LP "All the Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes". Copies came with a b/w picture on front sleeve panel, and the rear panel cover has full spoken text and notes from Pete. Note that 9 of the 11 tracks have spoken intros, mixed into songs and do not have exact track times. Total running times: Side A 23:27, Side B 18:13.
Whilst this record does come up occasionally for sale, this copy is super rare and signed on the front panel by Pete Townshend across his image at 6 o’clock towards the base of the front panel. Pete has signed in a fine red biro-style pen and the autograph is graded 8/10 for ink coverage and definition. Below the signature the sleeve is date-stamped 15th June 1982.

Condition: Outer soft matt card sleeve is very fragile and prone to wear. This copy is a minimum excellent condition with minimal handling, minor rubbing, and a minor lower corner dink to the base of the spine. There is one unidentified very minor mark towards the front panel opening. The inner paper plain sleeve is in excellent condition with minimal handling, and no splits or tears, and the record has had minor handling. The record itself has two spindle marks on side one, none of side two, and with minor handling to the surfaces. Under halogen light there are minor hairlines from removal from the paper sleeve. I have played the record the whole way through on my high-end Marantz deck, and the record played to an excellent standard with no faults identified, and minimal background noise between tracks. Overall grading is excellent condition, and a real rarity with the autograph.
