Description
Very rare US promo with the same song on both sides using old Decca 50s pink promo labels. Decca must have been trying to use up these old promo labels by this time in the 60s. The older Decca company sleeve was on it when I pulled it out of the original owners collection must have been another old part they were trying to use up on promos. I found this in a collection here in Los Angeles.
This pressing to my ears seems to be cut really loud and punchy compared to a standard original VG+ copy from my sales inventory. It might have been a different lacquer cut for the promo version or mix.
CONDITION: I consider this to be VG+ but a low level VG+ barely but still hanging onto the grade due to light surface marks on both sides. There are no deep audible scratches. Just superficial cosmetic surface scuffs. Overall still shiny. Plays great, loud and clear, a light bit of surface noise before the music starts in the lead in grooves that is not heard at all once the music starts. This lead in noise is like most old 45s we own in good shape.
Sleeve is VG+ with no splitting.
You are dealing with a fellow collector of older 45s, Garage Rock, Psychedelic 60s and 60s Rick are my thing. You’re not dealing with some young hipster record flipper.
Record has been properly cleaned and play tested both sides on my techniques turntable. Plays great.
Furnished with new white sleeve and poly bag.
Ships well packed with extra cardboard flats for protection in a 45 mailer.
