Description

John Judkins first came to fame creating original designs for the famous London boutique - "I Was Lord Kitchener's Valet". The boutique was the favourite of many rock stars in the mid to late 1960s, including Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles and lots more. Typically, the hand painted artwork he produced might be to hang in a fancy boutique or nightclub but also as prototypes for concert posters and album covers. I will be loading a number of photos to show the range that I have. For clarity this sale is for the work described below:     

This item is the only one that is not hand painted. This is a print taken from a hand painted portrait of The Who's Roger Daltrey in fantastic colours and in original condition. The poster dates from roughly the same time as the painting was created probably in 1969. As well as the original signature on the artwork itself, Judkins has also signed the poster individually - I have two of these one is signed in red (this one) and one signed in black. It measures 77 x 60 cms. It has been kept flat but will be sent out securely rolled up and packed for economic postage.
