This copy is not for a hifi purist. It will be of more interest to someone looking for the original pressing at a bargain basement price...
An original 1st pressing on the UK Track label from 1966. Matrix A2/B1. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed by Ernest J Day cover. No promotional poster I'm afraid!
Cover (Ex-) In really nice condition and has clearly been looked after. Lovely shiny front which is free from any nasty creases. The rear is in equally good condition too. Nothing really noticeable other than some light edge wear. even the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains very good rigidity.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) First and foremost please note that this LP has a minor warp. We measured it at 1mm amplitude, but it is visibly noticeable. On the upside, if you can live with the warping, you will be treated to a pretty decent level of playback from what is now a very collectable item. Yes, there's a few marks either side - nothing really troublesome though. There's a bit of static audible in the intro to either side [probably due to the warping]. But actual playback is mostly Verygood+ and thankfully very enjoyable. Interference is minor and only fleeting. Just a bit of static here and there. Nothing invasive. If you go for the purchase please do pay attention to the full description and understand that it has been priced down due to the warping. It still represents a decent level of playback for someone keen to get the true 1st pressing at an affordable price.
