Description

The Record Store Day 2024 release of The Story of The Who is a highly sought-after limited-edition reissue of the band's classic 1976 double-LP compilation album.

Originally released in the UK in 1976 (and never officially issued in the US until this edition), this collection is often praised as one of the most comprehensive "best of" overviews of The Who's early career, featuring key tracks from their explosive 1960s and early 1970s era.

For RSD 2024 (April 20), it was remastered by longtime Who engineer Jon Astley, cut at half-speed by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, and pressed on striking colored vinyl—one disc pink and the other green (some pressings noted as pink/blue variations). It comes in a gatefold sleeve with a faithful replica of the original 8-page booklet.

Limited to just 4,500 copies worldwide, this marks the first global vinyl availability since 1989, making it a must-have for collectors and fans celebrating The Who's legacy in independent record stores!


If there is a round sticker on the shrink wrap, it is easily removed with goo gone. I used these stickers for cataloging. There may be pricing stickers on the clear slipcovers.
