Up for grabs is this UK vinyl double album by The Who. Entitled Tommy, it contains 24 tracks (see track listing below) and is housed in a multifold sleeve. Also included is the un-numbered booklet. On the Track label, the catalogue number is 2657 002 (on the sleeve and set number on the labels) and 613013/613014 (on the labels) and the original date of issue is 1969. This copy is a slightly later pressing with unlaminated Ernest J. Day cover and the set number on the back cover and labels. I would date it at around 1972 due to the extra matrix markings on each side coinciding with the catalogue numbers of the two halves when released separately (see pressing details below). (The first pressing has a laminated Ernest J. Day cover, no set number on the cover or labels and the booklet is individually numbered. Later pressings have unlaminated Howards Printers covers.)

Condition

The vinyl is in Excellent condition on Sides 1, 2 and 3 and Very Good condition on Side 4. This is due to just one tiny scratch at the end of Track 2/start of Track 3 (see pic 10) which causes a few light clicks but nothing more. There is a tiny blemish in the pressing on the run-in of Side 1 (see pic 11) which doesn't extend onto the music.

The labels are in Excellent condition, clean and bright with clear, perfect printing and only the very lightest of spindle marks.

The booklet is in Excellent condition.  

The multifold cover is only in Good condition as it has a tear on one pane (see pics 2 and 3). Apart from this it has a bitof edge and corner wear and minor ring wear and creasing. The spine is complete with a bit of wear at the ends and a couple of scuffs. 

All my vinyl records are strictly graded according to Record Collector magazine's grading system. Please check my GRADING GUIDE to see a description of each grade. If any item has any writing, stickers, sticker marks, tears etc these will always be mentioned along with the grading. All records are sent in custom-made mailers, with stiffeners, and are packaged outside their sleeves to prevent edge splits.
