This is an auction for a rare classic rock ROCK OPERA LP The Who ?– Tommy ORIGINAL 1969 USA FIRST PRESSING -  RARE WHITE LABEL PROMO Decca ?– DXSW 7205 - 2 LP with booklet and tri-fold cover.  FRONT OF THIS BOOKLET READS:  "LYRICS REPRODUCED BY KIND PERMISSION OF FABULOUS MUSIC LTD & ESSEX MUSIC LTD" -  FRONT OF COMMON BOOKLETS READ:  ""LYRICS REPRINTED BY PERMISSION AND ALL RIGHTS RESERVED" According to a discussion at an online audiophile forum, this may be an example of a "HOT STAMPER" signifying a superior audiophile quality and very early pressing - as most WHITE LABEL PRESSINGS usually are. The matrix numbers:
Side One:    7 11976 1 - stamped with an additional "1" hand etched in the runoff area.
Side Two:    7 11977 2 - stamped with an additional "1" hand etched in the runoff area.
Side Three: 7 11978 6 - stamped with an additional "1" hand etched in the runoff area.
Side Four:   7 11979 5 - stamped with an additional "1" hand etched in the runoff area. Condition: Records are visually graded as Mint- to VG++ with just a few faint scuffs,  RECORDS PLAY GRADE VG++ to Mint- with excellent dynamics.  LABELS have only a small amount of spindle marks, booklet is VG++, cover is VG+ with some ring and edge wear - mostly at corners.
