First pressing in 6-panel front-laminated tri-fold sleeve with limited edition machine-numbered lyric booklet. Booklet bears: LOW limited edition number "5169"
Rare 1969 U.K. Track Record 1st Pressing 'Tommy' by The Who. Double Vinyl 1st Press with 1st Press Matt Track Labels w/ Record 1/2 Text & 1st Press A1//B1//A1//B1 Matrix Complete With Laminated Tri-fold E. J. Day sleeve & 1st press numbered booklet . The labels contain 'Double Album' and '(Record 1/2)' text in the left hand side of each label, no text printed under the double disc 'ST 33' logos on the right hand side of each label . 1st press A1//B1//A1//B1 Matrix endings. Laminated sleeve.
Grading is always subjective especially for a record that OVER 55 YEARS OLD but I will do my best to give you as accurate description that I can. From my own personal collection, bought on release by a real WHO FAN and has been lovingly cared for ever since.- VISUALLY - All Vinyls are BRIGHT and SHINY but all sides have light surface marks and scratches across all tracks.
- NOTE - Record 1 - Sides 1 and 4 has a flat on the very edge of vinyl edge - not touching tracks (see pics) - Manufacturing fault.
- MUSICALLY A GREAT PRESSING
PLAYING - Despite the number of surface marks and scratches it plays well. There is no skipping or jumping and music still sound really excellent but there is some crackling/clicks across all tracks on both sides mainly on the introductions and quiet passages (see below) Using GOLDMINE GRADING SYSTEM - OVERALL GRADING GOOD PLUS*

*GOLDMINE GRADING GOOD PLUS - An item in Good (G) or Good Plus (G+) condition can be played through without skipping, but it will have significant surface noise, scratches, crackling, or visible wear.
- COVER has a few very small creases (see pic) otherwise EXCELLENT as is the picture booklet (slight discolouring}
