The Who "Tommy"

This is an original US vinyl pressing on Decca DL 75126  from 1969.    This is a white label promo copy.   It's a double album that comes in a tri-fold cover with a 12 page lyric booklet.    It's hard to find the cover without ring wear and spine tears.    

This was The Who's rock opera.   It's one of their very best records.    Anyone that collects rock and roll has to have this album.    And if you collect The Who, then you know how rare a promo copy is.    Finding a near mint promo copy is next to impossible.     This is only the second promo copy I have ever seen !!

Overall Condition is : Cover is M- /  Record is M-/VG+

The cover is Mint minus with almost no ring wear, no writing , and no seam splits.   The front cover has no ring wear, but the back covers show light parial ring wear.    There is minor seam wear on the bottom.    There are no tears along the spine or by the mouth.    There are no promo markings on the cover.    The side 1 & 4 vinyl looks near mint and it plays near mint.    The side 2 & 3 vinyl looks VG+ and plays near mint.   That is because side 3 has a scuff that can be seen, but not heard.    The labels are perfect with no spindle marks.  The records come in a plain white inner sleeves.    The lyric booklet is mint.

About Me :

I started collecting records in 1966.     I started selling in Goldmine in 1985.      I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby.       And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.     My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.  

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.     Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard.       Together they are very strong and unbendable.   ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! )       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides. 

Postage :  Weight : 2 pound 4 ounces

You have to pay for the postage.     I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office charges.   There are no handling charges.     This record will weigh 36 ounces ( 2 pound, 4 ounces ) when ready to ship.   US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and an automatic email with the tracking number.      Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International.    You will get an automatic email with the customs/tracking number.      ( Buyers from Italy must assume all risks for shipping to their country. )      I will send your record as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM : Monday thru Saturday)   I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.      Please wait for me to send you an invoice for all of your records in one package.
