Record condition: Excellent (EX) Very clean, one very light scratch which has absolutely no effect on sound.
Cover condition: Very Good Plus (VG+) Slight ring wear and minor cover wear on corners with a couple of small blemishes. Cover is shiny and has original texture. No splitting.
The Wipers were a punk bank from Portland Oregon and featured guitarist/songwriter/singer Greg Sage, drummer Sam Henry and bassist Dave Koupal. Their music influenced many other artists and the Grunge music scene in general, most notably Kurt Cobain of Nirvana who spoke of being heavily influenced by the band.
I knew Greg, Sam and Henry when I bartended in an East Village Bar called the St. Marks Bar & Grill in 1979-81. They would come by whenever they would be playing in town. Finances being a challenge, I was always happy to supply them with drinks for the evening. They were always the nicest guys, almost low key,but when they got on stage…. Don’t remember if Greg gave me copies of their records or whether I purchased them myself, but a great band with a great legacy.
