This is a complete, unedited one-hour long Lux Radio Theatre broadcast that aired December 25, 1950 on the CBS Radio Network, sponsored by Lux Soap.ANNOUNCER: John Milton Kennedy. HOST: William Keighley

Lux Radio Theatre first broadcast “The Wizard of Oz” on Christmas Day, 1950. Judy Garland, by then 28, was the only original cast member of the MGM film to take part. Other cast members were: Herb Vigran (Tin Man), Hans Conreid (Scarecrow), Ed Max (Lion), Herb Butterfield (Wizard), Betty Lou Gerson (Good Witch), Noreen Gammill (Wicked Witch) William Johnson (Uncle Henry), Ruth Perrott (Auntie Em), Gil Stratton (Mayor) and David Light was the voice of Toto. Have a listen, it’s very charming. 
I have a second copy of this record and have listened to it through and through. It is fascinating to hear the performance with a variety of talented alternative actors taking on the various roles other than Dorothy. The Lion is especially good, comparable to the Bert Lahr performance in the film. Judy Garland's voice, especially when singing "Over the Rainbow" is far more mature that 11 years earlier when the 1939 MGM film was made. She no longer sings like a teenager. Still sounds great, just different.
