The Wizard of Oz Vinyl Record (SE 3996) - MGM Gatefold Soundtrack (1969)

This is an authentic 1969 MGM release of The Wizard of Oz soundtrack with confirmed details and unique characteristics. I have included the etchings that are clear and match known standards, ensuring its authenticity.

Confirmed Etchings:

  • Side 1: SE 3996 MGS 2480-1-1-1, with "D" above "PRC"
  • Side 2: SE 3996 56ST MGS 2481-2 -11-1 PRC

These matrix numbers confirm this is a PRC Recording Company pressing of The Wizard of Oz. The inclusion of "56ST" on Side 2 adds a unique detail for collectors.

Condition:

  • Vinyl: Appears never played. No visible scratches or scuffs.
  • Gatefold Cover: Very good condition. There is slight wear to the corners and background, but overall clean and vibrant. The gatefold opens smoothly and retains its original artwork.
